Electro Classical, Music Today

Electro classical is the stunning new album as well as new stage act from the stable of master performer Bickram Ghosh. After the enormous success of his Rhythmscape, Bickram Ghosh now creates a brand new show that promises to literally electrify audiences. The show, while retaining the thrilling percussive energy of Rhythmscape, brings in an added electric element. Most of the instruments used in this show are electrically or electronically triggered, giving the act a fascinating new-age sound. Even while employing classical instruments like the sitar and sarod , Bickram uses new-age versions of these age-old instruments. An electric sitar/ an electric veena or an electric sarod along with an electric guitar form the mainstay of the melody . An optional vocal , drums and keyboards along with ghatam and Bickram's Tabla Kit add to the excitement.

The artists, mostly young maestros come together under the leadership of Bickram to take new - age music into the brand new territory of "electric-soul "as Bickram likes to call this form.

Electro-classical is the true fusion of versatility and a bright new sound.
